At Goose we consider our relationship with our suppliers to be of the utmost importance. It is vital to have transparency and trust, both of which we have built up over the years.
We only use factories that follow an Ethical Trading Initiative and are socially and environmentally responsible. We ensure that our cotton garments are manufactured in factories that are members of the BCI (Better Cotton Initiative) www.bettercotton.org. This is a non-profit organisation that stewards and educates cotton farmers in order to reduce the impact on the environment.
The production of our cashmere takes place in a vertical factory in Mongolia, which means that the whole process takes place under one roof. At the factory it is sorted, spun and knitted by generations of skilled craftsmen and craftswomen. This direct relationship with the farmers ensures that they receive a fair and constant price for their harvest.
We believe at Goose that when care is shown all the way through the process from the farmer to the factory we gain a better end garment, happier producers and happier customers.
