At Goose we consider our relationship with our suppliers to be of the utmost importance. It is vital to have transparency and trust, both of which we have built up over the years.

We only use factories that follow an Ethical Trading Initiative and are socially and environmentally responsible. Where no trade unions are present, we make sure that workers are members of democratically elected participation committees.

The production of our cashmere takes place in a vertical factory in Mongolia, which means that the whole process takes place under one roof. At the factory, it is sorted, spun and knitted by generations of skilled craftsmen and craftswomen. This direct relationship with the farmers ensures that they receive a fair and constant price for their harvest.

We ensure that our cotton garments are manufactured in factories that are members of the BCI (Better Cotton Initiative) This is a non-profit organisation that stewards and educates cotton farmers to reduce the impact on the environment.

We champion organisations such as The Accord which makes factories in Bangladesh become safe and stay safe

The factory that makes our cotton knitwear is a member of BSCI (Business Social Compliant Initiative) which is an independent body that has a strong code of conduct. Their Mission statement ‘A world in which trade delivers social, environmental and economic benefits to everyone’. They call this Trade with Purpose. To find out more, please visit

Membership to Sedex is also required. This is a global organisation dedicated to driving improvements in ethical and responsible business practices in global supply chains. It helps companies make informed decisions and improve their business performance across labour rights, health and safety, the environment and business ethics.

We believe at Goose that when care is shown all the way through the process from the farmer to the factory, we gain a better end garment, happier producers and happier customers.
